Dessa forma, este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar, de forma exploratória, os determinantes da insatisfação latino-americana com o regime democrático. Para tanto, todas as principais variáveis são analisadas a nível do indivíduo. Ao todo, são incluídos 17 países no período entre 2001 e 2015 (n=221, com gap de dois anos). Revisamos a literatura sobre as causas da insatisfação na região para, em seguida, fazermos os testes estatísticos. Metodologicamente será utilizada estatística descritiva e análise espacial, para que se possa apresentar as tendências e comportamento das variáveis inseridas, e estatística inferencial, por meio de análise de painel balanceada. Espera-se que a percepção da condição econômica exerça o maior impacto sobre a insatisfação com o regime democrático.The transition from authoritarian regimes to democratic regimes is still recent in Latin America. However, this region still does not seem to be satisfied with the new governance model. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze, in an exploratory way, the determinant factors of Latin American dissatisfaction with the democratic regime. To do so, all the main variables are analyzed from an individual level. Altogether all, 17 countries are included in the period between 2001 and 2015 (n = 221, with a two-year gap). We reviewed the literature on the causes of dissatisfaction in the region and then performed the statistical tests. Methodologically, descriptive statistics and spatial analysis will be used to present the trends and behavior of the inserted variables, and inferential statistics, through balanced panel analysis.
