Entretanto, novas tipologias partidárias surgidas no final do século poderiam diminuir a ideia de que organizações partidárias estejam embasadas em um forte conteúdo programático. O caso brasileiro é interessante neste sentido, uma vez que a chegada de um governo de esquerda pela primeira vez desde a redemocratização representa uma oportunidade de novas percepções dos eleitores frente ao sistema partidário brasileiro. Neste artigo, analisa-se o entendimento das pessoas sobre ideologias e partidos. Utilizamos dados do Eseb (Estudo Eleitoral Brasileiro) 2002, 2006 e 2010 para demonstrar como houve uma mudança sobre a percepção ideológica dos eleitores em relação ao sistema partidário.The theme of party and ideology has been the subject of much discussion in the social sciences throughout the twentieth century. However, new party types that emerged in the end of the century could reduce the idea that party organizations are grounded in a strong ideology. The Brazilian case is interesting in this sense, as the arrival of a leftist government for the first time since the return to democracy represents an opportunity for new perceptions of voters regarding the party system. This study examines people's understanding of ideologies and parties.
