Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo conhecer o modo de funcionamento dessa etapa do processo eleitoral em quatro países: Argentina, Chile, Paraguai e Uruguai, e parte da coleta das normas que regem a formação do Cadastro Eleitoral nos países escolhidos, o que permitiu uma comparação com a forma brasileira de alistamento de eleitores. Como resultado, o trabalho contribui para o conhecimento dos sistemas de registro de eleitores nos países vizinhos, ao tempo em que propõe uma crítica ao sistema de alistamento eleitoral no Brasil.The integrity of the voter register is an essential element of a reliable electoral process. This research aims to understand how this stage of the electoral process works in four countries: Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. The research starts by collecting the rules governing the formation of electoral registration in the chosen countries, which allowed a comparison with the Brazilian way of registering voters.
