| pt_BR |
xmlui.metadata.dc.description.abstract | It investigates the idea of expanding the concept of honeymoon, a period of truce by
the opposition and the media that elected politicians would enjoy, to describe the treatment received by the two
most recent mayors of the city of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad (PT) and João Doria (PSDB). To do this,
we analyze the stories published in the covers and pages of opinion of the two main newspapers of São Paulo,
Folha de S. Paulo and S. Paulo during the first 150 days of their mandates. Besides testing the hypothesis
of the existence of honeymoon in the recent elections for mayor of the city of São Paulo, we will also examine
the secondary hypothesis that such treatment was similar in intensity and profile to each of the mayors at the
beginning of the term. The results show that there was Honeymoon only for Doria, since Haddad did not
receive any respite from the journalistic coverage, and that such a Honeymoon ended around the end of its
third month in office, a period similar to that estimated in North American literature For the presidents of
that country. | pt_BR |
