Retrato das urnas em 2020 : a representação de gênero e raça na Câmara Municipal de São Bernardo do Campo - SP

Abstract

Expõe questões relativas à representação de gênero e raça nas eleições municipais de 2020. Exposição que mensura os dados do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) sobre os candidatos e candidatas a vereança na cidade de São Bernardo do Campo, no estado de São Paulo, na intenção de mapear as candidaturas de homens e mulheres, para identificar a existência de postulantes mulheres e pessoas pretas, pardas, amarelas e indígenas entre os 27 partidos que disputaram a eleição para o legislativo municipal. Um diagnóstico quantitativo necessário para traçar uma possível evolução na representação de gênero e raça no legislativo são-bernardense para a legislatura 2021/2024, quando comparada com a legislatura 2017/2020. Contudo, o estudo aponta uma pequena variação na representatividade de gênero e raça no pleito municipal, apesar da existência de leis que buscam ampliar a pluralidade nos parlamentos.It aims to expose issues related to the representation of gender and race in the 2020 municipal elections. Exhibition that measures data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) on candidates for councilors in the city of São Bernardo do Campo, in the state of São Paulo, with the intention of mapping the candidacies of men and women, to identify the existence of women candidates and black, brown, yellow and indigenous people among the 27 parties that contested the election for the municipal legislature. A quantitative diagnosis necessary to trace a possible evolution in the representation of gender and race in the São Bernardo legislature for the 2021/2024 legislature, when compared to the 2017/2020 legislature. However, the study points to a small variation in the representation of gender and race in the municipal elections, despite the existence of laws that seek to expand plurality in parliaments.
