Voto distrital no Brasil : premente necessidade ou mera conveniência?

Abstract

Apresenta e critica os principais argumentos favoráveis e contrários à proposta de mudança do sistema eleitoral no Brasil para a eleição de deputados e vereadores, que passaria do proporcional para o de maioria simples, em turno único, em distritos uninominais, conhecido como voto distrital. Serão discutidos também os desafios e alguns dos possíveis impactos relativos à escolha desse sistema no Brasil.Show and to criticize the main arguments in favor and against the proposal of changing the Brazilian electoral system for elections to the national lower chamber, state assemblies and city councils, switching from proportional representation system to the majoritarian single-member district system. It will also be discussed the challenges and some of the possible impacts related to choosing this system in Brazil.
