A contribuição de Gláucio Soares à ciência política no Brasil : notas de uma visão sobre o sistema político brasileiro pós-1945

Abstract

A contribuição da obra de Gláucio Soares para a ciência política no Brasil é notável, construída concomitantemente à própria constituição da disciplina no país. Neste artigo, temos como objetivo principal identificar se há uma coesão em seus diagnósticos sobre a política brasileira desde os anos 1960 até estudos recentes e quais foram as mudanças de enfoque. Acima de tudo, buscamos investigar qual é a visão de Soares sobre o sistema político brasileiro desde 1945 até sua interpretação dos Governos Lula. Entendemos que há dois eixos que perpassam os trabalhos de Soares e que organizarão a reflexão aqui proposta, o primeiro é o que afirma a hipótese de existir em todo o trabalho do cientista político uma busca pelo conteúdo ideológico da política brasileira, e o segundo é o que entende que isso se dá como forma de se posicionar contra o mito da irracionalidade política.The contribution of the work Gláucio Soares for political science in Brazil is notable, having been built concurrently with the constitution of the discipline in the country. In this article, we have as main objective to identify if there is cohesion in his diagnostics of Brazilian politics over the years, since 1960 until his recent studies, and what were the focus changes. Above all, we seek to investigate what is Soares view of the Brazilian political system from 1945 until his interpretation of Lula governments. We understand that there are two dividing lines that run through the work of Soares and organize the reflection proposed here, the first one states the hypothesis that there is in all the political scientist work a search for the ideological content of Brazilian politics, and the second one understands that this happens as a way to stand against the myth of political irrationality.
