A emergência do feminino na política local : o caso das eleições municipais de 2004, em Campina Grande-PB

Abstract

Analisa a emergência de lideranças femininas na política local. Tomou-se como caso para investigação as candidaturas de Cozete Barbosa e Lídia Moura, à Prefeitura Municipal de Campina Grande, no ano de 2004. O texto problematiza a instituição dessas lideranças na cidade, para compreender o lugar por elas ocupado na mídia e no Horário Gratuito de Propaganda Eleitoral. Para tanto, preocupou-se em responder aos seguintes questionamentos: como se instituem, política e culturalmente, na sociedade campinense, essas candidaturas femininas? Quais os seus discursos, expectativas e como se colocam enquanto mulheres, no contexto de disputa eleitoral?

It analyzes the emergency of feminine leadership on the local politics. It tooks as case for investigation the candidature of Cozete Barbosa and Lídia Moura to City Hall of Campina Grande in the year of 2004. The text problematizes the institution of these leaderships in the city, to understand the place occupied by them in the media and in the Gratuitous Schedule of Electoral Advertising. For in such a way, it was worried in answering the following questions: how are instituted, politically and culturally, on the society of Campina Grande, these feminine candidatures? What are their speeches, expectations and how they position themselves as women in the electoral dispute context?
