A demanda pelo voto feminino no Brasil : abordagem histórica

Abstract

Evidencia a demanda pelo voto feminino no Brasil. Trata-se de pesquisa bibliográfica de natureza exploratória. A hipótese é de que a mulher não obteve a garantia de muitos direitos, entre eles o voto, com o surgimento do constitucionalismo moderno. Nesse sentido, a aquisição do direito ao voto foi uma conquista recente em vários países. No Brasil, os debates sobre o sufrágio feminino foram pauta da constituinte de 1891. Os argumentos contrários ao voto feminino eram fundamentados na fragilidade física e intelectual da mulher.It highlights the demand for women's suffrage in Brazil. This literature is a research of bibliographical exploratory status. The hypothesis is that the woman did not get the guarantee of lots of rights, including voting, with the ascention of modern constitucionalism. In this sense, the acquisition of right to vote was a recent achievement in many other countries. In Brazil, discussions on women's suffrage were agenda of constituent in 1891. The arguments against women's suffrage are based on the physical and mental fragility of women.
