Democracia, crise de representatividade e a influência do passado colonial no comportamento do cidadão brasileiro

Abstract

Possui como objetivo discorrer sobre a cultura política do brasileiro e as influências exercidas pelo passado colonial do país, buscando-se analisar, mais detidamente, a postura reticente do cidadão frente às instituições e ao homem público de forma geral, seja ele representante de algum dos poderes da República, seja ele detentor de algum cargo ou posição de maior responsabilidade. Objetiva-se analisar também, qual a influência desta visão pessimista no desenvolvimento e amadurecimento do atual sistema democrático e a possível existência de uma crise de representatividade. De onde teria surgido tal postura? O que a motivaria? Recorrendo-se às contribuições de artigos científicos e obras clássicas sobre a formação da sociedade brasileira, através de uma revisão da literatura, busca-se discorrer sobre o nascedouro dos sentimentos que dominam a visão do cidadão brasileiro frente às principais instituições do país e ao próprio Estado e analisar as consequências deste modo de pensar no desenvolvimento de seu sistema democrático.

It aims to discuss the Brazilian political culture and the influences exerted by the country's colonial past, seeking to analyze, in more detail, the reticent posture of the citizen in relation to institutions and the public man in general, be he a representative of any of the powers of the Republic, whether he holds a position of greater responsibility. It also aims to analyze the influence of this pessimistic view on the development and maturation of the current democratic system and the possible existence of a crisis of representativeness. Where did such a stance come from? What would motivate you? Using the contributions of scientific articles and classic works on the formation of Brazilian society, through a review of the literature, we seek to discuss the origin of the feelings that dominate the view of the Brazilian citizen towards the main institutions of the country and the country itself. State and analyze the consequences of this way of thinking in the development of its democratic system.
