Necessidade da superação da visão binária da política

Abstract

Trata da necessidade de mudar a forma de se ver a realidade e deixar de alimentar uma visão binária que favorece o extremismo político e afeta a própria democracia. Através de uma análise da realidade moderna atual sob a ótica de Zygmunt Bauman, pretende-se analisar a atual crise da democracia liberal, exposta por diversos autores, tal qual a estrutura das visões autoritárias que afetam a democracia por dentro, no sentido exposto por Robert Dahl e Norberto Bobbio. Um mundo com uma visão multipolar é possível, desejável e necessário para se superar esse momento de alta polarização, principalmente com a proposta de Jürgen Habermas sob o consenso racional. Democracia envolve muito mais do que o simples ato de votar em uma eleição, é também uma série de garantias e direitos que precisam ser respeitados por todos os participantes da sociedade. O artigo fará uma breve discussão sobre a democracia e sua busca por previsibilidade e segurança; em seguida, exporá como a visão binária da política alimenta o populismo e aprofunda a crise da democracia; para enfim confrontar as suas consequências e a necessidade de um novo paradigma que supere os extremos da política.

It addresses the need to change the way we view reality and to stop feeding a binary view that favors political extremism and affects democracy itself. Analyzing the current modern reality from the perspective of Zygmunt Bauman, it intends to analyze the current crisis of liberal democracy, exposed by various authors, such as the structure of the authoritarian views that affect democracy from the inside, in the sense exposed by Robert Dahl and Norberto Bobbio. A world with a multipolar vision is possible, desirable, and necessary to overcome this moment of high polarization, mainly with the proposal of Jürgen Habermas about rational consensus. Democracy involves much more than the simple act of voting in an election, it is also a series of guarantees and rights that must be respected by all participants in society. The article will briefly discuss democracy and its search for predictability and security; then, it will explain how the binary view of politics fuels populism and deepens the crisis of democracy; to finally confront its consequences and the need for a new paradigm for politics that overcomes the extremes of politics.
