Memória política : os brasileiros e a resistência à ditadura militar no Chile (1969-1973)

Abstract

O exílio, como estratégia utilizada pelo governo militar para afastar a oposição ou como uma oportunidade de sobrevivência, embora colocasse fim aos projetos individuais e políticos não anulava a resistência e a continuidade de contestação ao regime militar brasileiro. Enquanto a repressão intensificou e se especializou sob o governo Médici, o Chile, por sua tradição democrática e pelo início do governo socialista de Salvador Allende, tornou-se um dos lugares mais seguros e atrativos para os refugiados das ditaduras sul americanas. A proposta do trabalho é demonstrar a partir da análise das memórias, dos relatos orais e de documentos oficiais dos órgãos de repressão, como foi a experiência do exílio brasileiro de homens e mulheres no Chile entre os anos de 1969 e 1973.

Exile, as a strategy used by the military government to hold back the oposition or as an opportunity of survival, although it put an end to the individual and political projects, didn't block the resistence and the continuity of the fight against the Brazilian military regime. While in Brazil the repression increased and specialized under the Médici' governmt, Chile, by its democratic tradition and by the beginning of the socialist government of Salvador Allende, became one of the safest and most attractive places for the refugees of the southamerican dictatorships. The proposal of this work is to demonstrate, based on anlysis of memories, oral reports and official documents of the repression agencias, wa the experience of exile of Brazilian men and women in Chile in the years 1969 through and 1973.
