Resumo
Apresenta a trajetória política de Rui Barbosa, um dos organizadores da República e coautor da Constituição da Primeira República. Objetiva elucidar determinados pontos da carreira do jurista e questionamentos a respeito desta. Para tal, realiza-se uma
prospecção histórica, pautada por pesquisa bibliográfica, levando ao entendimento de que sua origem e princípios conduziram e interferiram nos rumos de sua trajetória.
It presents political trajectory of Rui Barbosa, one of the organizers of the Republic and a co-author of the constitution of the First Republic, and is objective to some points of the lawyer s career and questions about it. For this, a historical research is conducted, guided by bibliographical research, leading to the understanding of its origin and principles led and interfered in the directions of its trajectory.
