O regime civil-militar em Alegrete (RS) : partidos e sublegendas durante a eleição municipal de 1976

Abstract

Apresenta uma parte da pesquisa relacionada às relações políticopartidárias em Alegrete (RS) durante o período compreendido pelo sistema bipartidário (1966-1979), implantado pelo regime civil-militar brasileiro. Para tal, buscamos com o presente texto analisar a disputa para a prefeitura do referido município durante a eleição de 1976, unindo, além de uma discussão com a historiografia especializada, fontes extraídas do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral (TRE/RS), bem como entrevistas com alguns atores políticos daquele período. Objetiva-se também problematizar a presença das sublegendas, consideradas importantes para a compreensão da política de localidades como Alegrete.

Presents part of the research related to political-party relations in Alegrete (RS) during the time of bipartisan system (1966-1979), introduced by brazilian civil-military regime. For that purpose, we seek within this paper to analyze city hall s contest of that municipality during 1976 s election, gathering one discussion with specialized historiography of the period and sources taken from the Tribunal Regional Eleitoral (TRE/RS), as well with interviews with some political actors of that period, which still alive. Beyond that, we aim to question sublegendas presence, fundamental to political context understanding provided by the regime in some places as Alegrete and to the comprehension of partisan dynamics and articulations in electoral contests.
