A participação da mulher na política brasileira : obstáculos e desafios

Abstract

Analisa a evolução política das mulheres e as causas que possam estar impedindo sua inclusão com mais efetividade. A baixa quantidade de vereadoras, deputadas e senadoras é preocupante, principalmente considerando que há mais de vinte anos teve início a implantação da lei de cotas no Brasil, objetivando a paridade entre homem e mulher para a ocupação destes cargos. Buscou-se pelo aspecto teórico, constatar a história brasileira a partir da Proclamação da República até os dias atuais, valendo-se da doutrina, dos antigos anais pré-republicanos, das normas legais, de julgados e de dados estatísticos dos tribunais eleitorais. Levantou-se algumas hipóteses, as quais foram trabalhadas com profundidade nas revisões bibliográficas, bem como apresentou-se modesta proposta para contribuir com as ações públicas e política de cotas já em execução.It analyzes the political evolution of women and the causes that may be impeding their inclusion with more effectiveness. The low number of city councilors, deputies and senators is worrying, especially considering that for more than twenty years the implementation of the quota law in Brazil began, aiming at the parity between men and women to occupy these positions. The theoretical aspect was to verify the Brazilian history from the Proclamation of the Republic to the present day, using the doctrine, the ancient pre-Republican annals, the legal norms, the judgments and the statistical data of the electoral courts. Some hypotheses were raised, which were worked out in depth in the bibliographic reviews as well as a modest proposal to contribute to the public actions and quota policy already in execution.
