O livro de Roger Eatwel e Matthew Goodwin (2018) apresenta algumas teses que
merecem ser investigadas. São elas: a) o novo populismo de direita no mundo tem suas raízes
no final do século passado; b) e possuem um potencial de longo prazo. No caso do Brasil, o
novo populismo emergiu nas manifestações de 2013/2014 contra a corrupção e galgou o poder
rapidamente em 2018. A questão é saber se também tem potencial de permanência.
The book by Roger Eatwel and Matthew Goodwin (2018) presents some theses that deserve to be investigated. They are: a) the new right-wing populism in the world has its roots at the end of the last century; b) and have long-term potential. In the case of Brazil, the new populism emerged in the 2013/2014 demonstrations against corruption and quickly gained power in 2018. The question is whether it also has the potential to stay.
