Transparência e democracia : a linguagem simples como ferramenta no direito eleitoral e contra fake news

Abstract

Discute a aplicação da Linguagem Simples em comunicações oficiais, especialmente no contexto do Poder Judiciário Eleitoral Brasileiro, como uma estratégia para combater notícias falsas, as chamadas fake news, e fortalecer a democracia. A Linguagem Simples facilita a compreensão do público ao recomendar que a informação seja organizada a partir do que é mais importante para o entendimento do público-alvo, com o uso de frases curtas e na ordem direta, palavras comuns e precisas, traduzindo jargões e termos técnicos, além de recursos visuais e auditivos (PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024). O texto sugere técnicas para tornar a informação mais acessível e destaca a importância de testar e revisar o conteúdo com o público-alvo (PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024). A adoção dessa abordagem pelo Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) e por profissionais que atuam com o Direito Eleitoral visa garantir que as informações eleitorais sejam compreensíveis para as pessoas, promovendo a transparência e a confiança no processo eleitoral (CNJ, 2023; Fischer, 2024; PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024).It discusses the application of Simple Language in official communications, especially in the context of the Brazilian Electoral Judiciary, as a strategy to combat false news, so-called fake news, and strengthen democracy. Simple Language facilitates public understanding by recommending that information be organized based on what is most important for understanding the target audience, using short sentences in direct order, common and precise words, translating jargon and terms technical resources, in addition to visual and auditory resources (PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024). The text suggests techniques to make information more accessible and highlights the importance of testing and reviewing content with the target audience (PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024). The adoption of this approach by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and by professionals who work with Electoral Law aims to ensure that electoral information is understandable to people, promoting transparency and trust in the electoral process (CNJ, 2023; Fischer, 2024; PLAIN, 2011; PLAIN, 2024).
