O acesso das mulheres à cidadania : questões em aberto

Abstract

Na virada da década de 90 as mulheres passaram a constituir um pouco mais da metade do corpo eleitoral brasileiro. Tinham insistido longamente através da História em querer votar. Mobilizadas, emergiram na arena pública e foram vitoriosas. Porém, tanto a exclusão das mulheres da cidadania política quanto o voto feminino são matéria de somenos importância para a literatura cientifica. Essa intrigante pendência entre estudiosos e sufragistas é examinada através de uma revisão da literatura.

ln the turning of the 90's, women have become just over half of Brazilian voters. They had long insisted in voting through History. Mobilized, they have emerged into the public arena and were successful. However, both women's exclusion from political citizenship and the feminine vote are unimportant matters to scientific pursuit. This puzzling pendency between researchers and suffragettes is examined here through a review of recent literature.
