O significado da política na cobertura do Jornal Nacional : uma representação simplista?

Abstract

Discute a cobertura do Jornal Nacional durante o período das convenções nacionais partidárias realizadas pelos três principais partidos na disputa presidencial brasileira de 2010. O objetivo é compreender, nesse período pré-eleitoral, quais são as representações que o telejornal faz da política. Busca-se verificar se, tal como ocorre na tendência majoritária de cobertura midiática, a abordagem predominante continua sendo calcada na dimensão meramente factual e nos aspectos negativos do fenômeno político. Verifica-se, também, qual é o espaço destinado diariamente ao tema no noticiário e se o enquadramento privilegiado fica restrito à cobertura eleitoral-partidária, deixando em plano secundário outras conceituações (e temáticas) possíveis.It analyzes the Jornal Nacional coverage during the national party conventions time held realized by the three main political parties in the Brazilian presidential competition. The purpose is to understand, in this period, how the politics representations are built up by the TV news. An other aim is to verify if, just like it always by most of the media coverage, the predominant approach privileges the factual dimension and the negative features about the political phenomenon. Also, it is intended to verify what the daily time for the subject in the news is and to know if framings favor the coverage partisan election over other possible political conceptualizations and issues.
