De guardião da democracia a inimigo da liberdade do povo : imagem pública do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral nas notícias do site Terça Livre

Abstract

Analisa a imagem pública do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) elaborada nas matérias sobre o voto impresso veiculadas pelo site Terça Livre, que se intitulava como jornalismo conservador. Para tal, empreende discussões teóricas sobre mídia e política, a partir de autores como Miguel (2008), Souza (1988), Lycarião, Magalhães e Albuquerque (2018), entre outros; e sobre imagem pública na mídia, sob a ótica de estudos de Noleto Filho (2014), Gomes (2004) e Weber (2009). Com aporte da Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin (2011) numa perspectiva qualitativa, a investigação identificou a construção de uma imagem pública de caráter negativo do TSE, em 2021. Engendrada pelo Terça Livre, por vezes usando estratégias de desinformação, caracterizava o tribunal como uma instituição considerada ineficiente, inimiga da democracia e contrária à liberdade de voto da população.The purpose of this article is to analyze the public image of the Brazilian Superior Electoral Court (TSE) elaborated in the articles about printed paper votes published by the website "Terça Livre", which is entitled as a conservative journalism. In this regard, it has undertaken theoretical discussions on media and politics, from authors such as Miguel (2008), Souza (1988), Lycarião, Magalhães and Albuquerque (2018), among others; and on public image in the media, from the perspective of studies by Noleto Filho (2014), Gomes (2004) and Weber (2009). Using as method a qualitative perspective based on Bardin's ideas (2011), the investigation identified that the public TSE image engendered in the coverage by the website Terça Livre contains a negative character, sometimes using disinformation strategies, characterizing the court as an institution considered inefficient, enemy of democracy and contrary to the freedom to vote of the population.
