Inteligência Artificial e democracia : humanos, máquinas e instituições algorítmicas

Abstract

Trata das mudanças na dinâmica dos regimes democráticos em razão da emergência da Inteligência Artificial (IA). A teoria democrática avançou na epistemologia da política considerando os avanços de inteligências individuais e coletivas, compreendendo como atores e movimentos sociais tensionam e produzem formas de convivência no seio de democracias. A emergência da Inteligência Artificial significa uma complexificação das dinâmicas democráticas uma vez que ela fundamenta uma epistemologia da política baseada na relação com outras formas de inteligência (individuais e coletivas). A coexistência dessas três formas de inteligência proporciona novos desafios para a teoria democrática no contexto da interação entre humanos e máquinas. Concluímos observando como soluções democráticas têm sido criadas para enfrentar os dilemas sociais que emergem com a Inteligência Artificial.It deals with changes in the dynamics of democratic regimes due to the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Democratic theory has advanced in the epistemology of politics considering the advances of individual and collective intelligence, understanding how actors and social movements tension and produce forms of coexistence within democracies. The emergence of Artificial Intelligence means a complexification of democratic dynamics since it grounds an epistemology of politics based on its mutuality with individual and collective intelligence. The coexistence of these three forms of intelligence provides new challenges for democratic theory in the context of the interaction between humans and machines. We conclude by observing how democratic solutions have been created to face the social dilemmas that emerge with Artificial Intelligence.
