Que Brasil saiu das ruas?

Abstract

Discute o resultado das Eleições de 2014 e a divisão ocorrida no país decorrente da disputa eleitoral. A tese sugerida é que tem-se um país dividido após as disputas presidenciais entre a ética do trabalho e o Estado Providência. De um lado, os que creem no padrão de ascensão social definido pelo esforço pessoal, sintetizado na expressão inglesa do self-made man. De outro, aqueles que entendem o papel do Estado como algo a garantir serviços públicos e proteção à população. Desta divergência surgiu uma nova militância que se expressou, inicialmente, nas redes e, no segundo turno, nas ruas. Em um segundo momento é analisado a conciliação de interesses, marca da plataforma lulista, após tal divisão.

It discusses the results of the 2014 elections and the division occurred in the country due to the election. The thesis suggested is that the country has become a divided country after the presidential disputes between the work ethic and the welfare state. On one hand, those who believe in social mobility pattern defined by personal effort, synthesized in the English expression self-made man. On the other, those who understand the role of the state as something to ensure public services and protection to the population. This divergence has emerged a new militancy, which was expressed initially in networks and, in the second round, on the streets. In a second moment, reconciling interests, mark of Lula platform, are analyzed after such a division.
