O governo Bolsonaro e o populismo contemporâneo : um antagonismo em tela e as contradições de suas proximidades

Abstract

O que e como podemos entender contemporaneamente enquanto fenômeno do populismo em termos universais é a questão central deste artigo. Busca-se elencar proximidades e contradições entre as práticas políticas do candidato eleito presidente, Jair Bolsonaro e as concepções teóricas de Ernesto Laclau sobre o fenômeno do populismo. O objetivo da análise foi o de identificar o discurso do presidente e sua atuação política enquanto eventualmente populista. O artigo conclui que Bolsonaro apresenta aproximações, mas também se afasta do que se poderia entender como populismo a partir da matriz teórica que nos fundamenta a investigação.What and how we can understand contemporaneously as a phenomenon of populism in universal terms is the central issue of this article. We seek to list the proximity and contradictions between the political practices of the elected president, Jair Bolsonaro and Ernesto Laclau's theoretical conceptions of the phenomenon of populism. The objective of the analysis was to identify the president's speech and his political performance as eventually populist. The article concludes that Bolsonaro presents approximations, but also departs from what could be understood as populism since the theoretical base that underlies our present research.
