¿Realmente "necesitamos" el voto electrónico?

Abstract

Persigue realizar una aproximación crítica al voto electrónico a partir de las dudas de diferente tipo que puede generar su introducción. Inicialmente se exploran algunos de los malentendidos habituales sobre el voto electrónico para posteriormente revisar las principales críticas y/o dudas que aparecen en las diferentes etapas de implementación del voto electrónico. La conclusión a la que llegamos es que no puede optarse por dicho desarrollo tecnológico creyendo que es una panacea política, sino que su fortaleza estará condicionada por el contexto en el que vaya a aplicarse.

It makes a critical approach to e-voting, from different type of doubts that arise about its implementation. Initially it explores some of the common misconceptions about e-voting, and then it reviews the major criticisms and/or doubts that appear at different stages of e-voting's implementation. The conclusion it draws is that one cannot choose the mentioned technological development believing it as a political panacea, but that its strength is determined by the context in which it is applied.
