Gênero e política : uma análise da atual conjuntura brasileira

Abstract

A atual conjuntura política brasileira trouxe à tona o debate acerca da participação política das mulheres. Diante disso, o objetivo deste artigo é apresentar alguns fatos recentes que demonstram o quanto a política institucional ainda hoje é um espaço de difícil acesso para as mulheres. Este cenário é contrastante com o recente fortalecimento de manifestações feministas de diversas formas que têm ocorrido tanto nas ruas quanto na internet. Além disso, serão analisadas as barreiras institucionais, materiais e culturais existentes que impedem uma representação política justa entre os gêneros.The current Brazilian political conjuncture brought to light the debate about political participation of women. Thus, the purpose of this article is to present some recent facts that show that the institutional politics is still an area of difficult access for women. This scenario contrasts with the recent strengthening of feminist manifestations in various forms that have taken place both on the streets and in the internet. In addition, institutional, material and cultural barriers that impede fair political representation between genders will be analyzed.
