A polarização política no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

Analisa a polarização política no Rio Grande do Sul, estruturada inicialmente, sobre facções políticas, em seguida sobre um sistema bipartidário e por último sobre um sistema multipartidário. Esse formado por blocos de partidos ideologicamente alinhados. Inicialmente ocorreu entre liberais e caramurus (PL e PC), em seguida entre federalistas e republicanos (PF e PRR), mais tarde entre (PSD/UDN e PTB) e por último entre (PMDB e PT). A polarização tem forma, ao mesmo tempo, circular e linear. Sua longevidade provém de um processo de estruturação, esgotamento, reestruturação, realinhamento e consolidação, e assim sucessivamente. Portanto, muda para permanecer. Sua vitalidade está assentada sobre um fator estrutural - permanente - e um fator conjuntural - que muda de período em período. Assim, a polarização política entre facções ou partidos rivais é uma das características da política do Rio Grande do Sul.

It analyzes the political polarization in Rio Grande do Sul, initially structured, on political factions, then on biparty politics and finally on multiparty politics. The latter came about by the formation of by blocs of ideologically similar parties. This polarization initially happened between liberals and caramurus (PL and PC), then between federalists and republicans (PF and PRR), later between PSD/UDN and PTB and, finally, between PMDB and PT. The polarization has, simultaneously, a circular and linear form. Its longevity comes from a process of structuring, breakdown, restructuring, reordering and consolidation, and so on successively. Therefore, it changes in order to continue on. It's vitality is based upon a structural factor - that which is permanent - and a contextual factor - that which is changes from time to time. As such, the political polarization between rival factions or parties is one of the characteristics of politics in Rio Grande do Sul.
