O Globo e as disputas em cena : Brizola e a criação e uma sigla emblemática, o Partido Democrático Trabalhista

Abstract

Pesquisa a forma como o jornal O Globo elaborou seu discurso no processo de disputa pelo domínio da sigla PTB (Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro) entre Leonel Brizola e Ivete Vargas, e a consequente criação do PDT (Partido Democrático Trabalhista). Isso ocorreu no processo de abertura política do regime militar brasileiro e reorganização partidária. A forma como o jornal elaborou seu discurso foi analisada de acordo com a metodologia proposta por Patrick Charaudeau. Analisando as fontes, a historiografia e utilizando a metodologia proposta, entendemos que O Globo apoiou Ivete Vargas e investiu na desqualificação política de Leonel Brizola, uma vez que o jornal e o político gaúcho possuíam diferentes visões acerca do rumo da política brasileira.It aims research the way how the newspaper O Globo elaborated its speech in the process of dispute for the domain of the acronym PTB (Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro) between Leonel Brizola e Ivete Vargas, e the consequent creation of the PDT (Partido Democrático Trabalhista. This happened in the process of political opening of the Brazilian military regime and party reorganization. The way thar the newspaper elaborated its speech was analyzed according to the methodology proposed by Patrick Charaudeau. The analyze of the sources, the historiography and the methodology proposed, we understand that O Globo supports Ivete Vargas and invested in the politic disqualification of Leonel Brizola, once that the newspaper and the political from Rio Grande do Sul had differents visions about the future of the politic in Brazil.
