O civismo digital : um olhar sobre as interações durante o primeiro debate para o governo paulista em 2022

Abstract

Investiga a civilidade digital em uma sociedade cada vez mais orientada pela conversação on-line, com foco no debate eleitoral para o governo de São Paulo em 2022, transmitido pela TV Bandeirantes. A pesquisa partiu de duas questões centrais: qual rede social concentrou o maior número de postagens com a hashtag #debatenabandsp e se havia indícios de elementos democráticos na interação virtual. Utilizando métodos quanti-qualitativos, além de revisão bibliográfica e análise documental, os resultados apontam que a rede X (antigo Twitter) reuniu o maior volume de publicações. Dentre as mais de 1.800 manifestações analisadas, prevaleceram as postagens negativas, em contraste com as positivas e neutras - estas mais próximas do ideal de civismo digital. Embora tenham sido identificados traços de diálogo democrático, os dados evidenciam a necessidade de aprofundamento dessa prática no ambiente on-line. O estudo conclui com sugestões para o fortalecimento da democracia no ambiente digital.

It investigates digital civility in a society increasingly shaped by online conversations, focusing on the 2022 electoral debate for the governorship of São Paulo, broadcast by TV Bandeirantes. The research addressed two central questions: which social media platform concentrated the highest number of posts using the hashtag #debatenabandsp, and whether there were signs of democratic elements in the virtual interactions. Employing quantitative and qualitative methods, along with bibliographic review and document analysis, the results indicate that platform X (formerly Twitter) hosted the largest volume of posts. Among the more than 1,800 analyzed entries, negative posts prevailed over positive and neutral ones - the latter being more aligned with the ideal of digital civility. Although traces of democratic dialogue were identified, the data highlight the need to further strengthen such practices in the online environment. The study concludes with suggestions for enhancing democracy in the digital sphere.
