O meu cabelo não nega : uma reflexão sobre a (inexistência da) participação da mulher negra na política

Abstract

Provoca reflexão sobre o racismo, o preconceito, a negação aos privilégios atribuídos aos homens brancos e a falta de participação das mulheres negras na política brasileira. O problema consiste na quase inexistente representatividade negra feminina nos cargos eletivos em contraponto à maioria negra do eleitorado e ao mito da democracia racial. O método adotado foi a pesquisa bibliográfica em livros, manifestos, artigos, legislação pertinente e jurisprudência. Percebe-se que, mesmo com os avanços legislativos e jurisprudenciais em favor da participação feminina na política, às mulheres negras é entregue encargo e esforço imensamente maior que aos homens para serem eleitos, sendo uma barreira para o alcance da luta por direitos de raça e gênero, políticas públicas voltadas à reparação do processo de escravização e domínio das pessoas brancas.It aims at providing food for thought about racism, prejudice, the denial of white male privilege and the dearth of black women participation in Brazilian Politics. Its main issue is the black female underrepresentation in the elected offices, in opposition to the far black majority of the electorate in the country and to the myth of race democracy. It is noticeable that, even with the development of laws and jurisprudence to foster female participation in politics, black women's burden is much harder in order to be elected if compared to the efforts employed by men to be elected, becoming an obstacle in the pursuit of Race and Gender Rights, in reaching public policies aimed at repairing the process of enslavement and domination of white people. The methodology adopted was the bibliographic research in books, manifests, articles, laws and jurisprudence related to the subject matter.
