poder no período escravocrata.
natureza qualitativa, baseada no método dedutivo.
Brazilian democracy has faced increasing challenges, especially in electoral periods marked by economic and political instability. In this context, electoral harassment in the workplace has become an alarming practice, constituting a modernization of the old "voto de cabresto" (vote-by-cabresto) characteristic of coronelismo and power relations during the slavery period. This practice, perpetrated by some citizens, violates already consolidated fundamental rights, such as the secret ballot and the political self-determination of citizens, representing a direct conflict with democratic principles. The general objective of this study is to analyze the consequences of electoral harassment in labor relations, understanding its causes, social consequences and legal implications. It also seeks to identify strategies to address this problem, considering the context of the last elections, in which this practice gained significant visibility. The justification for the research is the urgent need to understand the increase in complaints related to electoral harassment, which reflects not only the abuse of economic power, but also the fragility of worker protection in the face of political interests. The topic is relevant not only because of its direct impact on the political sphere, but also because of the psychological and social harm it causes to workers, in addition to its potential to undermine confidence in Brazilian democracy. The methodology adopted is qualitative in nature, based on the deductive method. The research is supported by bibliographical and legislative analyses, as well as scientific articles. Preliminary results indicate that electoral harassment in labor relations increased significantly in the last elections, revealing a pattern of coercion that threatens fundamental rights and perpetuates archaic power structures. These results point to the urgency of public measures, such as educational campaigns and the strengthening of reporting channels, to empower workers and mitigate the impacts of modern coronelismo on labor relations.
