A vontade soberana do povo é aquilo que constitui a validade do governo, das decisões e do próprio sistema democrático. Através desta crença na vontade soberana, o cidadão é abonado de achar garantias, ao contrário, recebe-as através desta vontade soberana e do pacto estabelecido por ela. Nesse sentido, a democracia e essa vontade se embrenham. Ademais, pode estranhar à vista leiga a questão de uma cassação de mandatos eletivos em nome da 'democracia' e da 'Justiça', porém, na verdade, esta é uma proteção àquela que é irremediável.The sovereign will of the people underpins the validity of government, official decisions and the democratic system itself.
