Da luta pelo sufrágio à presidência do Brasil : descrição do empoderamento feminino na política brasileira

Abstract

A presença de mulheres no cenário político representa uma possibilidade de atendimento às necessidades e aos interesses da população feminina. A partir disso, vários são os argumentos que para justificar a importância da participação feminina nesses espaços. Entre estes argumentos destacam-se a crença da moralização da prática política, na qual a mulher tornaria o meio político mais honesto e ético; outro ponto está no fato de que a presença feminina na política formal levaria à inclusão, na agenda política, de temas que concernem a interesses femininos. Atualmente várias mulheres conseguiram espaço no campo político brasileiro, como o caso da presidente Dilma, bem como várias deputadas, prefeitas e vereadoras, mas cenário árduo e de batalhas até chegar nestes patamares.The presence of women in the political scenario represents a possibility of attending to the needs and interests of the female population. From this, there are several arguments to justify the importance of female participation in these spaces. Among these arguments stand out the belief in the moralization of political practice, in which women would make the political environment more honest and ethical; another point is the fact that female presence in formal politics would lead to the inclusion, on the political agenda, of themes that concern women's interests. Currently, several women have made room in the Brazilian political field, such as the case of President Dilma, as well as several deputies, prefects and councilors, but a difficult scenario and battles until reaching these levels.
