Os direitos políticos perante a Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos após a Carta Democrática de 2001

Abstract

Demonstra a atuação da Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos na temática dos direitos políticos após a Carta Democrática da Organização dos Estados Americanos de 2001. O advento da Carta Democrática, que reconheceu a democracia representativa como o modelo político ideal para a região americana, aumentou de maneira significativa as demandas perante a Corte relacionadas à violação de direitos políticos.
