(Re)afirmando a política para as mulheres : as implicações de cotas femininas na esfera política brasileira

Abstract

A inquietação pela baixa presença feminina nos cargos representativos norteia os estudos sobre a política de ações afirmativas de gênero no Brasil. Utilizando dados eleitorais (1994, 1998, 2002 e 2006) e notas taquigráficas referentes às discussões do Projeto de Lei 783/95, procura-se desvendar alguns dos fatores que prejudicaram a eficácia da lei de cotas no BrasilConcern with low feminine presence in representative positions guides the study of affirmative actions regarding gender policies in Brazil. Using electoral database (1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006) and transcriptions notes related to discussions about the Project of Law 783/95, our target is to discover some of the factors that have impaired the effective implementation of the quotas' law in Brazil.
